English 1, Honors English 1, English 4
Students in my classes use literature, non-fiction, poetry, and even film to practice critical reading and writing skills. Weekly vocabulary and grammar practices also help them become close readers, strong writers, and analytical thinkers. Technology and peer collaboration are also highly encouraged and utilized during class to give students essential 21st-century skills.

A California native, I always dreamed of being a teacher like my mom when I grew up. In 2014 I graduated with a Masters in Secondary Education and a BA in Literature from ASU(Go Devils!). Now I am proud to work as a Gilbert Tiger. In addition to teaching in the English Department, I sponsor the Gilbert High Interact Club, which is focused on leadership and community service.
I am always available for students needing extra help at support before school, after school, during lunch, and in BGA advisory period. I'm happy to answer any parent queries via email or by phone at (480)497-0177 ext.249 as well.
